For part of my first module we had to create a brand zine consisting of 2000 words. The first section was to be a brand analysis and the second about a new concept for the brand. I chose Celine because I love their style and how being minimalist can still be feminine and pretty. I had to think very carefully in how I would lay out each page as it had to be representative of the brand- its identity and core values. I learnt that Celine is all about block pastel colours, often not using many patterns. Below is a mood board that I create to try and sum up what the brand is about. Using a baby pink pastel colour shows that it is a feminine, elegant brand.
For my new concept I chose for Celine to introduce customisation of their bags. I thought that this would widen Celine's customer base as I described in my zine.
After receiving feed back about my zine I reflected on what I could have done better in terms of the layout and the content. For the layout, I should have stuck to a theme for the brand analysis section, maybe including more white back grounds. It also could have been better if I spread the content over more pages. Overall I feel as though my zine could be stronger if I did this but I am still happy with it.
