fashion loves art.

I found this lecture very interesting and really made me realise how much fashion is inspired d by the art culture and various artists dating back to the 1800s. After all, where did fashion get it's colours, forms and shapes from in the beginning? Art Deco caught my attention as I feel it is a style in fashion today as it is an art
at present and in the past. Not only did this art movement inspire clothing, but also architecture of buildings e.g. the Chrysler building in the US and also furniture and doors as shown above. It is a big part of fashion today- a lot in fashion is made up of geometric shapes. How would we have thought and known about this if it weren't for Art Deco and its artists?
Both of the above page are from my reflective journal and it displays my interest in Art Deco and its influence.
